12 days in and still going strong! I’m not going to lie at least 1/2 of these pictures were taken late at night after a frantic “oh god! I need to take a picture of something yarny STAT!” It has been super fun getting into it though. I love trying to find each day’s yarn subject and it has been good for my severely lacking photo skills. :) 12 days down, 353 to go! Here they are, days 2-12:

Yarn Failure       2/365
Had a design idea and ran with it. It was a total failure. I’ll salvage the parts and start anew in a few weeks. But for now the jumbled ball of silky wool sits in the corner, mocking me.

Today was my favorite kind of day. It was a jammie day full of book club reading (The Buddha in the Attic) and swatching for a new slouchy hat pattern.

Picked up this lovely assortment of Rowan felted tweed from the yarn shop today. 3 different weights for an upcoming pattern. Fun stuff!

Newest j.ek hat pattern is coming along. Almost ready to start decreasing and get this thing done!

Had to rip back to the ribbing on the new hat. It’s worth it thought because it was not going to be up to my standards. Better to rip back then release a pattern that isn’t exactly what I want.

Seriously, I have been dreaming about winding up this varigated Done Roving yarn & casting on a cowl for myself since I picked it up over a month ago. Soooon!

Close up of one of my yarn cubbies. It’s so sad to see it all tangled up. I cannot wait to jump into reorganizing this room. I have been super busy and haven’t even started yet but I have a self-imposed deadline of 1/31 and I plan to stick to that! Somehow!

I found this in my WIP basket. It’s a 1/2 pillow cover that I knit up at least 3 years ago. I wrapped it around my face in an effort to keep my nose warm out in the bonus room while I went through some of my yarny mess. pillow/cowl? powl!

Found this in my WIP basket too. It’s a purse I was supposed to finish as a present for a friend over 2 years ago. I am awful but it is pretty cute!

Elle rocking her oculiTres Monstah! hat this morning on the way home from dropping Cy at school. Just when I think that girl couldn’t get cuter…
